Mrs. Verna E. ISAACS of Howard Twp, age 63, passed away at 7;30 Friday evening, July 6, at the Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. Following an illness of five weeks. She was a native of Parke County and taught for a number of years in the schools of the county. For the past 4 years she had been bookkeeper in the office of her husband, William T. Isaacs, county highway superintendent. She was a member of the Waveland Methodist Church. Surviving are the husband, William T; two sons, Gerald of W. Lafayette and John of Kingman; the mother, Mrs. Minnie Johnson of Montezuma; a brother, Merrit of Covington; and four grandchildren. The body was taken to the Branson Funeral Home where friends called. Funeral services were held 2:00 Monday afternoon at the Waveland Methodist Church, Rev. Lowell Morris officiated and burial was in Grandview Cemetery, West Lafayette. - kbz
